Tempe welcomes A-list celebs at 'Wolverine' premiere

Roll out the red carpet -- Hollywood has come to the Valley.

Tempe Marketplace played host to Monday's world premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," and the film's major stars stopped by to say 'hello' and sign autographs.

"This is the first time I've been to Arizona and not gotten a speeding ticket, so, so far so good," said Ryan Reynolds, who plays a character called Dead Pool in the film.

Reynolds said he enjoyed the warm welcome from Valley residents.

"You get to see all these people. You don't get this in Los Angeles. You really get to actually spend time with the people here, and that's a beautiful thing," he said.

Hugh Jackman, the film's star, echoed the sentiment.
