Tinseltown coming to Tempe

Movie stars, glitz galore and a red carpet -- Tempe is preparing to host its first world movie premiere.

Thousands of Valley X-Men fans participated in online voting, sponsored by Hugh Jackson on YouTube, to bring the premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" to the Cine Capri Theater at Tempe Marketplace.

The movie will be shown not only at the Cine Capri, but in all of Harkins' 16 theatres at the Tempe Marketplace, said Dan Harkins, chief executive officer of Harkins Theatres. The complex has more than 3,000 seats.

"Tickets to the world premiere will be free," Harkins said. "There will be no charge at all. You just have to find a way to get your hands on a ticket to the world premiere."

Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber and the entire cast of the film are expected to attend.

Lucky them! Pretty strong Wolverine fan base there.
